Rich, burnt colors, animal prints, and stripes were present throughout ViX by Paula Hermmany’s Spring 2017 collection, which featured swimsuits, accessories and ready-to-wear resort pieces on the runway at Funkshion Miami Fashion Week on July 15. Shapes were decidedly Grecian-inspired while fabrics and hues suggested an African influence. Flowing caftans and off-the-shoulder, wide-legged jumpsuits were styled with oversized woven bags and taut golden chokers. The collection’s stand-out piece was a relaxed, easy-fitting dress with clashing paisley and zebra prints.
Swimsuits were designed in classic shapes, with a nod to today's vintage-inspired styles. One-pieces featured plunging necklines and cut-out shapes, embellished with ViX's signature leather detailing. Bikinis in geometric, color-blocked patterns included cheeky boy-short and high-waisted cuts.
