New Digs for Denim Label

A premium-blue-jeans maker has changed addresses in Vernon, Calif.

The line 7 for All Mankind has moved to an industrial building at 4440 E. 26th St., leaving the Soto Street structure it occupied with its parent company, L’Koral Industries.

The $250 million 7 for All Mankind label, which is seeking to branch out beyond its tried-and-true denim lines, was established in 2000 by Peter Koral, Michael Glasser and Jerome Dahan in a building occupied by Koral- owned L’Koral Industries. The trio parted ways a few years later after Glasser and Dahan filed a lawsuit against Koral, accusing him of using profits from 7 for All Mankind to pay off debts accumulated by L’Koral Industries, a women’s knitwear manufacturer.

Dahan and Glasser, trying to retrieve the profits they claimed were owed to them, eventually won a multimillion-dollar judgment against Koral and his company. Glasser and Dahan went on to establish another highend denim line, Citizens of Humanity. Glasser has since left Citizens.

Designer Katayone Adeli, who shuttered her eponymous line of sportswear a few years ago, has taken on design duties at 7 for All Mankind. She will be designing sportswear for the brand as it diversifies.

Meanwhile, TV celebrity Jesse James, host of “Monster Garage” on the Discovery Channel and the husband of actress Sandra Bullock, is working with Koral to develop his High Caliber line of T-shirts, hoodies, thermal tops and shirts. —Deborah Belgum
