The next generation of textile design will be on display at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in downtown Los Angeles beginning Oct. 8, when the design school hosts its annual student textile design exhibition.
The show features 21 students graduating with textile design degrees. Twelve of the student designers specialized in surface design, and nine specialized in knitwear. The exhibition includes knit apparel, fabrics with prints, surface design and computer-aided design.
Held at FIDM’s Museum Promenade Gallery on the school’s third floor, the exhibition is free and open to the public Monday though Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Dec. 19. For more information, visit www.fidm.edu. —Alison A. Nieder
