Go ahead and call it a comeback.

Two years ago, former financier Jacob Harrison Long set out to revive a shuttered 19th century textile mill in Connecticut with the hopes of launching a collection of American-made woolen fabrics.

The company—now called American Woolen Co.,—recently released a video of Long, the company’s chief executive officer, in the factory discussing the importance of having a made-in-America textile supply chain in the United States.

I love a good made-in-America story just about as much as I love a factory tour—and the video has both.

You can watch the video on American Woolen’s website and you can read more about the company in

this piece I wrote about American Woolen when it first relaunched.

With the Los Angeles International Textile Show set to open on Monday, it’s a perfect time for some made-in-America textile flag waving.
