Cooper Design Space, Mezzanine 2
The Anonymous 213 showroom in the Cooper Design Space is a work in progress. Co-owner Eric Wheeler is building a shoe wall, adding a kitchen area with a sliding door and renovating an outdoor patio to make a tranquil seating area with white walls and green plants.
“We want it to feel like a destination space,” Wheeler said. “During market, buyers can come by to our outdoor space, have a glass of wine and hang out.”
The showroom will be open for June market, but Wheeler is planning to host a grand-opening event in October during the Spring/Summer market.
Wheeler and business partner Christopher Frye opened two Anonymous 213 showrooms last month—one in LA and one in New York at 264 W. 40th St., 16th floor. In Los Angeles, in the Cooper space, Wheeler and Frye have partnered with Kelly Howard, director of media for Post + Beam public relations, who will provide in-house PR for some of the showroom’s brands.
Anonymous 213 represents a range of apparel and footwear brands with wholesale prices from $100 to $350. Apparel brands include Johanne Beck, Weslin + Grant, Kaliver, Tina + Jo, Rachel Alex, Hermant & Nandita and Luxe Deluxe. The showroom also carries apparel and footwear by Ilse Jacobson, footwear by Ivylee Copenhagen and Calou, and shoes and accessories by Japanese brand U-Dot.
