Eco-Generation

California designers are on the forefront of the eco-movement by offering fashion that goes beyond the typical hippie fare. This new generation of designers has a twofold mission: to create cutting-edge fashion and to strive for the greater good. Whether they are working with sustainable or nontoxic materials, supporting a policy of social activism or designing the newest denim innovation, designers take a socially conscious approach. Go "green" with recycled fabrics, vegetable dyes and sustainable or eco-friendly fabrics such as bamboo, organic cotton and hemp. Eco-fashion will be some of the key offerings at the upcoming MAGIC Marketplace, Project Global Trade Show, United Trade Show, Pooltradeshow, S(eco)nd and E.C.O. Trade Show in Las Vegas from Aug. 26 to 30. Photographer: Richard Knapp; Stylist: N.
