...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM PDT /11 AM
MST/ FRIDAY TO MIDNIGHT PDT /MIDNIGHT MST/ SATURDAY NIGHT...
* TIMING...Gusty south winds will develop along the Colorado
River Valley again late this morning through early this
evening. Temperatures will increase to hazardous levels Friday
afternoon and continue into the weekend.
* WINDS...Wind gusts today along the Colorado River Valley
increasing from the south 25 to 35 MPH.
* TEMPERATURE...Temperatures will increase to between 112 and
117 degrees along the Colorado River Valley Friday.
Temperatures will decrease a few degrees Saturday but relative
humidity will increase.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will create dangerous boating conditions
on Lake Mead, Lake Mohave, and Lake Havasu today. Choppy
waters could capsize or swamp small craft. Temperatures on
Friday and Saturday could become dangerous to those working or
recreating outdoors. The hot temperatures will create a
dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
