PACIFIC...IS MOVING THROUGH THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COASTAL
WATERS. THIS IS RESULTING IN ELEVATED SURF HEIGHTS...AND STRONGER
AND MORE PERSISTENT RIP CURRENTS. LOCAL HIGH SURF CONDITIONS ARE
POSSIBLE AT TIMES...ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF ENCINITAS.
...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM PST

* SURF...3 TO 5 FEET WITH SETS TO 6 FEET ON EXPOSED WEST FACING
BEACHES IN ORANGE COUNTY...AND 3 TO 6 FEET IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY
WITH LOCAL SETS TO 7 FEET SOUTH OF ENCINITAS.
* IMPACTS...THE ELEVATED SURF AND THE LONG PERIOD OF THE SWELLS
WILL RESULT IN STRONGER AND MORE PERSISTENT RIP CURRENTS...
INCREASING THE DANGER TO SWIMMERS AND SURFERS. MINOR BEACH
EROSION COULD ALSO RESULT.
* OUTLOOK...SURF AND SWELL DECREASING MONDAY AND TUESDAY. A
SHORTER PERIOD...LARGE WIND SWELL IS POSSIBLE AGAIN BY NEXT
FRIDAY. THE ELEVATED SEAS ARE EXPECTED AROUND THE ASTRONOMICAL
HIGH TIDE AND MAY RESULT IN TIDAL OVERFLOW AND MINOR COASTAL
FLOODING.
