Organic Fiber Workshop Planned

The Organic Trade Association will present a workshop on working with organic fibers at the May 17–19 run of the “All Things Organic” Conference and Trade Show at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.

The workshop, “How to Integrate Organic Fiber into Your Product Line,” is co-hosted by Beaverton, Ore.-based Nike Inc. and Hillsboro, Ore.-based Norm Thompson Outfitters, and will feature a panel of experts including representatives from Ventura. Calif.-based Patagonia Inc., the Texas Organic Cotton Marketing Cooperative in Lubbock, Texas, and Pleasant Hill, Calif.-based Natural Origins. Topics include sourcing organic fibers and products, marketing organic fiber products, apparel and textile trends and the economics of adding organic fiber products to a product line.

The workshop is free to conference participants, but registration is required.
