Majority Says Recession
It’s not a recession until a majority says it’s a recession. According to a recent poll by the Field Institute, 1 percent of Californians think the state’s economy is suffering. In contrast, 21 percent said the state is faring well and 46 percent described the economy as a slowdown rather than a recession.
