Poleci Bows L.A. Retail Store on Robertson

The body-conscious clothes of Poleci have found an additional home—the company’s eponymous boutique on Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles.

Sisters Diane Levin and Janice Levin-Krok, who began the Los Angeles-based contemporary line eight years ago, have entered the retail business. Their 1,800-square-foot store at 105 S. Robertson Boulevard has a tentative opening date of Dec. 22.

The all-white boutique, decorated with recessed lighting and undulating walls, will carry the entire collection, known for its low-slung pants, sheer blouses, distinctive skirts and stretch fabrics, according to Levin. There is no word yet on future locations.

Poleci wholesales to more than 400 accounts, including Lord & Taylor and Macy’s West, and rang up around $13 million in sales last year.

As of late, Robertson Boulevard has been a retail magnet, welcoming new tenants while other shopping districts have hung up leasing signs. In the last two months, A. Mason, Lola cosmetics and Armani Casa have opened in the boutique-laden neighborhood between Beverly Boulevard and Third Street. —Nola Sarkisian-Miller
