Milan-based jeweler Bulgari has formed a joint venture with hotelier Marriott International, with plans to open seven Bulgari Hotels over the next six years. This is not the first luxury goods company to consider branching into the hotel business. There are Krizia-owned hotels and Versace, Ferragamo, Diesel and Alberta Ferretti have recently set their sights on the market.
