Local Designers Go Vintage for Fundraiser

Los Angeles-based designers Estevan Ramos, Trina Turk and Janice McCarty will create one-of-a-kind items made from vintage clothing as part of a fundraiser to benefit Alegria, the Salvation Army’s soon-to-open village-style community for homeless and low-income families.

The March 16 event is hosted by the Salvation Army of Southern California, Los Angeles Magazine and Rachel Ashwell, founder of Shabby Chic, and will be held at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. Guests will have the opportunity to preview and purchase the custom garments at the event, which will also feature an informal tea hour and a fashion show.
