CFF Donates $10,000 to Operation School Bell

The California Fashion Foundation (CFF), the philanthropic arm of the California Fashion Association (CFA), recently made a $10,000 donation to Operation School Bell of the Assistance League of Southern California, which provides clothing, shoes and other items to Los Angeles school children.

CFF has been a supporter of Operation School Bell for the past three years. Its latest donation will be used to purchase items not readily manufactured by members of the Los Angeles garment industry such as uniforms, backpacks and shoes. Steve Maiman, owner of Los Angeles-based Great Escape, donated girls’ tops and dresses to the program; Brian Weitman of the Los Angeles-based Security Textiles donated fabric for skirts and Bill Bosch, manager of the school uniform division of Pacoima, Calif.-based Strategic Partners, provided uniforms and jackets at reduced prices.—Alison A.
