Tiger Beat, the Primedia-owned kid celeb mag whose sister publication is Seventeen, is jumping on the tween fashion-brand bandwagon, announcing a plan for a line of Tiger Beat brand apparel and accessories for preteen girls...The May Department Stores Co. has an agreement in principle to purchase 13 former Montgomery Ward stores for an undisclosed price; the purchase is expected to close about April 1 and May expects to open most of the stores in 2002.
