DuPont Renames Non-Woven Division

The Wilmington, Del., fiber and chemical manufacturer has renamed its recently launched apparel non-woven division Neotis Studio. The company found that the previous name, Inova, was already being used by several companies, including a health care provider, according to Mark A. Delaplane, North American account manager for the new division.

“We wanted a brand name that would be associated with the fabric, that would be tied down on the consumer level,” said Delaplane. “[Inova] was not novel enough.”

Delaplane, who spoke to California Apparel News from the Apparel Sourcing Show in Guatemala City, said the company has ordered new marketing materials and will soon launch a new ad campaign with the Neotis Studios Advanced Technologies logo. —Alison A. Nieder
