Consumer Confidence Continues to Climb

Consumer confidence continued to climb for the second month in a row, according to the Conference Board. The New York-based research firm found that consumer confidence rose nearly three points to 97.3 in January. The firm also found that consumers are more positive about the economic outlook over the next six months, with 25 percent of those polled anticipating an improved outlook rising 25 percent.
