Costumer Helen Rose Inducted Into CDG Hall of Fame

Costumer Helen Rose will be inducted into the Costume Designers Guild’s (CDG) Hall of Fame at the fourth annual Costume Designers Guild Awards on March 16 at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills. Rose won Academy Awards for “The Bad and the Beautiful” in 1952 and “I’ll Cry Tomorrow” in 1956 and designed Grace Kelly’s wedding dress. The designer, who died in 1985, will join other notable costume designers in the CDG’s Hall of Fame, including Jean Louis, Edith Head, Travis Banton, Irene Sharaff and Adrian.
