Fashion District BID Tries On a New Look

The Los Angeles Fashion District Business Improvement District (BID) has unveiled new uniforms for its Clean & Safe Team and a new logo for the district.

The uniforms were redesigned with easy visibility in mind. The yellow-and-black uniforms feature the new logo and have the words “LA Fashion District” on both the front and the back. Also, the uniform jackets will indicate whether the wearer is a member of the “Safe Team” or the “Clean Team” or is an “Ambassador” of the BID.

The “Clean Team” and the “Ambassador” jackets are black with yellow trim and the “Safe Team” jackets are yellow with black trim to make them highly visible so merchants and consumers can easily spot them.

The new look was created by several Los Angeles area companies—the new logo was created by design firm MAG.LA, the uniforms were designed by BID staffers and manufactured by Custom Design Uniform Co., the hats were produced by Santos Sports and the Burns Security patches were sewn on the jackets by New York Tailors. —Alison A.
