POOL Sets Details for Second Showing

POOL will return. The trade show alternative to MAGIC International has released the final details regarding its second event, which takes place August 26–28 in Las Vegas at the Alexis Park Hotel and Convention Center.

The show debuted in February at the Stratosphere, running concurrently with MAGIC. A miscommunication with hotel executives nearly shut down the show on the second day, but despite the show’s move from a block of hotel rooms to cramped meeting rooms on an upper floor of the hotel, most exhibitors said they were pleased with the event and the buyers who turned out to shop it, including American Rag, Ron Herman/Fred Segal Melrose, Rolo, Allston Beat and House of Field.

This season, POOL will be showing in a 9000-square-foot space, with approximately 50 vendors. Organizers will provide exhibitors with garment racks and signage for a fee of $500 per collection for all three days. The show will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

The event’s opening party, dubbed the POOL Party and sponsored by metro.pop, will take place on the rooftop of the Alexis Park Hotel on August 26.

The hotel is on Harmon Avenue, near Paradise Avenue—just off the Las Vegas Strip and within one mile of the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Sands Expo & Convention Center. POOL has secured a sleeping-room rate of $89 per night, and the hotel will run complimentary shuttles to the two convention centers.

Hotel reservations must be booked through the hotel directly at (800) 582-2228 and secured by July 1. Fees for the trade show must be paid by June 15.

Early exhibitors include Beta Project, Charizmatik, 2K, Ben Sherman, Eveisu, Foreign Arena and Nose.
