Foot Fight
A bid to capture California market share has landed shoe retailer the Athlete’s Foot in a bitter court battle with former employee Blair Taylor, hired in the mid-’90s to recruit minority franchisees in California. Several claims have been filed from both sides. The Athlete’s Foot claims Taylor was not able to sell any franchises and mismanaged his own stores. Taylor claims the chain did not send new styles to his stores in time for the Back-to-School selling season.
