Veltex Expands Tuck Fleet
Diamond Bar–based Veltex Corp. announced plans to expand its fleet of trucks by 20 by the end of November and by another 40 by the end of the year. The trucking company will have a total of 106 trucks by the end of 2002, with plans to add another 100 during the first quarter of 2003. The trucks will operate out of Memphis, Tenn., where the company’s trucking subsidiary, Veltex Transportation, formerly known as MultiModal Transportation, is based. Veltex specializes in transportation and distribution of apparel for the promotional products industries as well as the manufacturing of textiles including velvet, denim and twill.
