Futuristic Fashion Show Planned

The Institute for Accelerating Change will host a futuristic fashion show on May 17 in Culver City, Calif., as part of a forum that will address cryonics, molecular technology and other scientific phenomena.

The event’s “Futurist Fashion Carnival” will feature cyber- erotica, fetish and biomechanical sci-fi fashion by area designers, as well as self-proclaimed Gothic supermodel Donna Ricci. Other models will be provided by Wicked Talent management.

Future-inspired clothing, footwear, jewelry and accessories are currently being considered for the event. All items will be auctioned following the show. The deadline for submissions is April 25.

The Institute for Accelerating Change is a nonprofit organization that stages conferences, gatherings, reading groups, media projects, and educational programs addressing change. Joining with the IAC in staging the event is the Foresight Institute, an organization that studies molecular nanotechnology. The event will be held at 11505 Jefferson Blvd. in Culver City.
