Los Angeles Fashion Week Fall I 2003: Angelrox

Packed with plenty of “precirc;t-a-crochet” and featuring a dancer showing off a few grand jeteacute;s, Angelrox’s Fall 2003 runway show leaped into Los Angeles Fashion Week on April 2 at the Park Plaza Hotel.

Designer Roxi Suger’s “soft, soothing and romantic” collection featured wearable clothes with rich coffee-shop colors—mocha, espresso and chocolate—accented with pretty pastels. These Suger combined with crocheted accessories, including caps, gloves and lots of leg warmers. Key looks from the collection were “suger” briefs, bows, layers, leggings and girly dresses that suggested storylines ranging from sorority slumber parties to ballet rehearsals to dates with boyfriends.

BBC USA producers documented the Angelrox design team’s activities—from the design process to the fashion show—for a new fashion-industry reality show that will air this fall on the TLC cable network. —Mark Pagaduan
