Gap Supply-Chain Chief Resigns

Chuck Crovitz, executive vice president and chief supply-chain officer of Gap Inc., has resigned from the company. Gap officials did not give a reason for his departure.

Crovitz has been with Gap since 1993, when he was hired to oversee strategic planning and business development. In his last position, he was responsible for sourcing, distribution and transportation operations and general supply-chain management.

Gap Chief Executive Officer Paul Pressler said the company will be conducting an external search for a successor.

“Our supply chain is a critical point of competitive advantage, and maximizing our current strengths while also creating more flexible, innovative capabilities are strategic priorities,” Pressler said.

Gap currently has 3,099 store locations throughout North America, Europe and Japan. —Robert McAllister
