Macy's in Hawaii

Federated Department Stores has acquired two former J.C. Penney stores on the islands of Maui and Hawaii and plans to convert them to Macy’s stores by fall 2003. Federated already has stores in both locations. The existing stores will be remodeled to carry women’s apparel, accessories and shoes. The new stores will carry men’s apparel, childrenswear and home merchandise. The new Maui location is an 86,000-square-foot, two-level space in Queen Kaahumanu Center, and the Hawaii location is a 62,000-square-foot, one-level store in Hilo’s Prince Kuhio Plaza.
