Richline Textile Relocates to Pico Rivera

Richline Textile Co. has acquired a 115,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility in Pico Rivera, Calif., and will relocate its operations, currently based in Vernon, to the new offices next month.

Richline, headed by Masoud Omrany, purchased the facility for $5.5 million, according to Daum Commercial Real Estate Services, which represented the buyer in the deal. The move doubles the capacity Richline has in Vernon.

The new facility will be located at 8321 Canford St. in Pico Rivera, formerly the home of L.A. Dye & Print Works, one of the casualties of last year’s energy crisis, which put numerous textile dyers out of business due to exorbitant energy prices. The facility will house about 100 Richline workers.

“This transaction is notable in the sense that very few textile firms have expanded within the Los Angeles basin during the past two years,” said Daum vice president Jerry Sackler, noting the trend toward offshore production. —Robert McAllister
