L'Amici, Skinny Minnie Expand Ops

Fabrics company L’Amici and T-shirt maker Skinny Minnie are expanding their operations by moving to larger locations in Vernon, Calif.

The two Los Angeles garment makers have signed leases for about 100,000 square feet of warehouse space on Alcoa Avenue’s garment row, according to real estate brokerage Cushman & Wakefield of California Inc.

L’Amici, which markets polyester and cotton, has signed a 62- month lease, valued at $1.5 million, to occupy a 53,000-squarefoot warehouse at 4809 Alcoa Ave.

Skinny Minnie, known for its colorful line of novelty T-shirts for the contemporary market, has moved from 1951 Staunton Ave. to a 45,000-square-foot building at 4927 Alcoa Ave. The company has signed a 63-month lease, valued at $1.3 million.
