Morgane Le Fay Hits Brighton Way

Morgane Le Fay celebrated the launch of its second West Coast boutique with a cocktail reception on Oct. 8 at the new Beverly Hills, Calif., location.

The New York–based fashion house, launched in 1982 by designer Liliana Casabal and her husband, Carlos, spent five years searching for the right location for its latest West Coast addition.

The 1,005-square-foot space, designed by Carlos, is narrow, sparsely decorated and yet, elegant. The company also has a boutique on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica, Calif., and two New York boutiques.

The Morgane Le Fay collection includes eveningwear, suits, knitwear, coats and rainwear that evoke the house’s quiet but dramatic lines. Morgane Le Fay also has a fragrance line. In addition to the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter lines, the company will launch a Resort line in November.

The simple yet sophisticated line has been worn by actresses Juliette Binoche, Halle Berry and Sharon Stone, as well as by English icons Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and Cherie Booth, the wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

At the opening event, the fashion house honored Women in Film by announcing that it will donate 10 percent of its sales from Oct. 8 to Oct. 29 to the organization, which furthers the careers of women in the film industry.

The new boutique is located at 9511 Brighton Way. For more information, call (310) 859-2597. —N. Jayne Seward
