Fire Fight

Wildfires raged across Southern California, causing considerable damage to homes and forcing thousands of residents to seek temporary shelter. The fires temporarily shut down air traffic at area airports on Oct. 26, when an air traffic control center near San Diego closed. Flights continued to be delayed through the start of Los Angeles Fashion Week, and air quality levels remained low as the fires continued to burn.
