Rates Unchanged

The Federal Reserve left the federal funds rate at the 45-year low of 1 percent, citing signs of economic recovery despite continued job losses. Still, the Fed said in spite of favorable indications such as continued consumer spending and increases in business pricing power and consumer prices, the “risk of inflation becoming undesirably low remains the predominant concern for the foreseeable future.”
