RFID, Sourcing Issues Highlights of Technology Conference

Paula Rosenblum, research director for Boston-based AMR Research, will headline a slate of conferences during the second annual Technology Solutions Education Conference, which will run May 18–20, concurrent with the Material World Expo, at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Rosenblum will discuss how retailers can fight price deflation and product commoditization by using technology to optimize product-lifecycle management, supply-chain visibility, sourcing and demand management.

In another seminar, consultant Charles Gilbert will address the latest issues surrounding radio frequency identification and what retailers are requiring from manufacturers. Coach Leather USA’s Richard DeFabrizio will present a case study on the latest in CAD (computer-aided design) technology, and Raleigh, N.C.–based TC2 will address 3-D body-scanning technology.

Other seminars will address software implementation, supply-chain management and speed to market. The event will conclude with a technology roundtable headed by Rick Ludoph of Productive Solutions.
