GE Buys Dillard's Credit

Little Rock, Ark.–based department store Dillard’s Inc. announced plans to sell its credit card division, Dillard National Bank, to Stamford, Conn.–based GE Consumer Finance for about $125 billion. The deal includes about 500 Dillard National Bank employees. The companies struck a 10-year agreement and marketing alliance to provide marketing and customer service to the 5.5 million Dillard’s credit card holders.
