Kasil to Debut Men's Line at MAGIC

Eighteen-month-old premium denim brand Kasil will debut its men’s line at MAGIC International Aug. 30–Sept. 2. The 15-piece collection will feature distinctive trimmings of plaid, corduroy and other materials on the seat. Wholesale price points are $65 to $75.

“There’s a big demand for highquality men’s denim,” said founder David Lim.

Kasil’s women’s line, which also bears the brand’s signature attention to the rear view, consists of several dozen styles in a wide range of colors.

Kasil is sold at Fred Segal Fun in Santa Monica, Henri Bendel, E Street Denim in Chicago and other specialty boutiques.

Thirty-two-year-old Lim boasts a fine arts background and spent years using denim in artwork, prizing the fabric for its durability and color.

His father, Richard Lim, is a custom tailor with a Hollywood clientele. Lim made jeans for himself and several of his father’s customers before deciding to launch his own line. Kasil also makes twill pants for women and will next develop wovens and Tshirts.

The company will show in the designer/ contemporary section of MAGIC.
