Tukatech Opens Services at FedEx-Kinko's

Los Angeles–based CAD/CAM company Tukatech Inc. has opened up a patternand marker-making service in 1,248 FedEx-Kinko’s units worldwide.

The service allows apparel designers to upload garment patterns and markers to Tukatech’s Web site. Personnel process the data and wire it to any designated FedEx- Kinko’s store, where it is printed and eventually shipped through Kinko’s parent company, FedEx.

Deliveries take place in 24 to 48 hours, less than half the time of the manual process, said Tukatech officials. Fees are based on the nature of files received. Tukatech can work with paper and digitized patterns.

“The service is designed for small independent users who cannot afford the expensive plotters and for large retailers who have vendors located worldwide who may not have the plotters in house. No investment, maintenance or service contracts required. Simply pay for the yardage you need,” explained Paul Clarke, vice president of operations for TukaGroup.

The service is also offered at any of the 32 TukaCenters around the world. For more information, visit www.tukaweb.com.
