Leonard Employs Porini's Development and ERP Systems

Paris-based fashion label Leonard is using the business management and product development software of Westlake Village, Calif.–based technology provider Porini.

Leonard is using Porini’s Collection Development System to facilitate prototyping and product engineering at its Milan studios. The system integrates with Porini’s G-Tex, which automates pricing, sales and production activities and features.

Leonard had been searching for an endto- end product that would allow it to control the production process.

The Collection Development System manages the printing and finishing of fabrics, as well as the manufacturing of finished goods. After collecting and adding data to styles and new prints, managers can combine styles, fabrics, prints and colors, which the software can arrange in an exploded pricing model and then distribute to Leonard’s sales force. Once it integrates with G-Tex, the system can immediately process orders for finished garments.

Leonard estimates the applications have shaved at least two weeks off its production cycle. “Leonard competes in a fast-paced and demanding market segment and clearly understands the value of speed and collaboration in their business,” said Enrico Turconi, president of Porini USA. “Together we have deployed a complete seamless solution that has concurrently reduced time to market and improved efficiency.”
