Juniors Apparel Company Set for South Bay Move

KNL Inc., the Commerce, Calif.–based manufacturer of juniors lines Big Flirt and Heart & Soul, is moving to a larger facility in Gardena, Calif., next month.

The expansion will increase KNL’s headquarters from 48,000 square feet to 100,000 square feet. The company will use the new building for distribution and office space.

KNL has tripled its sales over the past seven years. The growth has also prompted the company to expand its New York showroom.

“This move was long overdue. We’re all eager to settle in and use the space to expand our growing business,” said Kevin Talbot, KNL’s vice president and co-owner.

Talbot said the company ships $70 million in goods a year and projects sales of $100 million for 2004. Customers include the J.C. Penney Co. Inc., the Kohl’s Corp., The May Department Stores Co., Sears, Roebuck & Co., Federated/Macy’s and Dillard’s Inc.

Big Flirt features activewear, sportswear, separates and dresses. Heart & Soul features contemporary collections with dresses and separates in the knit and woven categories. —R.M.
