Burlington + Cone

North Carolina– based textile giants Burlington Industries and Cone Mills are merging to create the International Textile Group, which will have an estimated combined revenue of $900 million. The two companies will merge their denim and jacquard businesses and form a new home furnishings business division. ITG will continue as the majority owner of specialty chemical business Nano-Tex. The company will also continue to operate Burlington’s denim plant in Mexico. The company plans to merge the two companies’ headquarters into one location in Greensboro, N.C.
