CMC Plans Heaven Showroom, Lingerie Pavilion

The California Market Center is rolling out several new categories and showroom concepts for the April 1–6 run of Los Angeles Fashion Week.

Among the additions:

bull; The opening of the Street Couture category on the 11th floor of the building. New showrooms will include Steady Clothing and Rock Steady, Blend and multi-line showroom Callie Wilson, which will feature Fluffer Clothing, Subterranea and Krush Klothing.

bull; Temporary exhibitors on the 11th floor include Agenda, a trade show that blends art, fashion and music. Also planned is Heaven, a multi-line temporary showroom that will show the designers from the P. Ka Bu runway shows: Maggie Barry and the designer’s launch of men’s line M Barry; Scanty lingerie and loungewear; contemporary lines Aimisu, Uriel Saenz, Mell 2608, Juuml;nker, Deborah Lindquist and Erica Rose; and jewelry line Nagual.

bull; The launch of the Intimates/Accessory Pavilion on the 10th floor. Featured will be intimates lines Aubade, Chiarugi, Tiziano De Franco, Papinelle, Once Upon a Time, Ozone Design, April & Mae and Meow Meow and accessories lines The Original Jelly Kelly and Leaders and Leathers. Multiline showroom Women On Top will showcase Femme, Metale, House of Mink and Work Girl Handbags.

bull; The launch of Hoop Dreams at the Urban/Suburban show on the 4th floor. The collection is the brainchild of Arthur Agee, one of the subjects of the Academy Award–nominated 1994 documentary “Hoop Dreams.” Agee will be on hand to sign DVD copies of the film. Other exhibitors planned for Urban/Suburban include Drunknmunky, Fubu Ladies, Akademiks Outerwear, Southpole, Sean Jean Outerwear, Meoshe, JLo by Jennifer Lopez, Avirex, Ecko and Ecko Red, Live Mechanics and LRG.
