San Francisco Fashion Week '04: Liz Bang Swimwear
Metallic fabrics, layered looks and intricate lacing made up the looks in the Liz Bang Swimwear show. Under the design direction of Liz Bang and Melissa Kuehn, the company’s offerings included an inverted-halter style that crossed low on the back and tied to a matching bikini bottom. Another style gave the illusion of a Brazilian bikini bottom layered over a string bikini bottom. The color-blocked tops looked as though two triangle tops were layered over each other. The designer continued the layering by topping string bikinis with sweater-knit hot pants and crop tops for a poolside-only look. —Alison N. Nieder
