Industry 212 Postponed Indefinitely

Organizers of the Industry 212 trade show, originally scheduled for Nov. 1–3 in New York, said the event has been postponed indefinitely so that producers can “reshape” the show, as well as avoid having it fall on Election Day.

The contemporary showcase, formerly known as Femme, has been held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center three times a year. But show director Jesse Allen said he needs time to redirect the show’s focus, which has been on juniors, streetwear and young contemporary lines.

“I look forward to taking the time granted to us by the postponement to work with our customers to assess how we can apply modifications that will maximize the value that Industry 212 delivers to the fashion industry,” Allen said in a statement.
