Charitable and Wearable

While looking for a way to promote her label’s new e-tail site, Petro Zillia designer Nony Tochterman found a way to help others in need. “I wanted to let people know we’ve gone live, but I also wanted to do something good,” the California-based designer said.

Petro Zillia, known more for its quirky knits and sexy-secretary skirts, has debuted a line of cotton T-shirts to be sold exclusively on its Web site, www.shoppetrozillia.com. All profits from the tees will be donated to charity. Currently, shoppers can choose to send donations to Project Angel Food, The American Red Cross or Step Up Women’s Network.

Featuring a rainbow graphic of Tochterman’s design, the line includes cap-sleeve tees and T-shirts in a variety of colors. Both styles will retail for $24. —Erin Barajas
