Bryan Wilson Showroom and Representing

After 19 years at the California Market Center, Bryan Wilson moved across the street to a new showroom at The New Mart.

At the same time, he dropped nearly all 10 of his lines and signed up five new women’s contemporary lines, keeping one label from the old days.

“In the spring, I cleaned house,” said Wilson, noting he closed his 2,800-square-foot showroom when his CMC lease expired at the end of May. He is sharing the new space with longtime friend Ramiro Centeno, an accessories and jewelry representative.

Centeno’s Representing showroom has its merchandise interspersed with the six lines that Wilson carries inside their 1,150-square-foot space. Wilson is now representing mostly Los Angeles–based companies, including B. United Jeans, a more subdued line of denim that wholesales for $85–$105 and is part of the Frankie B. collection designed by Daniella Clarke; My Tribe, a new line of edgy leather jackets, vests, handbags and denim with leather trims with wholesale price points of $250–$400; Code Vintage, mostly knit tops with sublimation prints and some bottoms that sell for $25–$32; Hannah Jo, feminine tops and bottoms with vintage lace that sell for $49–$89; Monahmour, a new line by designer Monah Li, that wholesales for $39–$69; and China Doll, a collection of novelty tops and woven bottoms that ranges in price from $20 to $55.

Centeno’s lines include Z’Paneva and NG Collection jewelry; 3 Skin, a belt line; and Erika Sarmiento, a line of embellished and embroidered handbags.

Wilson expects his business to outperform the $7 million to $10 million in wholesale sales he generated when at the CMC. “I’m 100 percent sure our business is going to grow with fewer lines and a smaller space,” he said.
