FBI Gets New Board Members

Six new members have been added to the board of Fashion Business Inc., the nonprofit organization in downtown Los Angeles that helps new designers and apparel companies grow their businesses.

New to the 14-member board are Robert Krieger, president of Norman Krieger Inc., a freight forwarder and customs broker; Robert Silverstone, founder of Silverstone Consulting Group; Jesse Atilano, president of Labor Law; Bruce Berton, director of business consulting at accounting firm Stonefield Josephson Inc.; Allison Stern, manager at RonHerman.com; and Martin Hughes, senior partner with accounting firm Moss Adams LLP.

In addition, Henry Cherner, a partner in Apparel Information Management Systems, has been elected to the executive board as secretary, replacing John Chen of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, who remains on the regular board.

The nonprofit was founded in 2000 by British-born designer Frances Harder, who also was a professor at the Otis School of Fashion Design. —Deborah Belgum
