PCC Introduces Stretch Nonwovens
Precision Custom Coatings LLC, the Totowa, N.J.–based nonwoven, coated- and laminated–fabric maker, has launched a new nonwoven fabric that stretches like a knit.
PCC has added several products within its new Comfort Stretch Thermal Bond Nonwoven range designed specifically for the apparel industry. Styles CS85 and CS96 were designed to have the necessary stretch, comfort and recovery needed for waistbands and other stretch areas that require interlining. The stretch nonwovens are coated with the company’s proprietary KF Resin, which gives the product a soft hand and good durability, according to the company.
“Precision Custom Coatings has developed a comprehensive, versatile interlining for stretchable waistband needs that has the stretch and recovery properties of a true elastic,” Jay Waxer, vice president of PCC’s apparel division, said in a statement.
The stretchable nonwoven styles CS85 and CS96 can withstand many washing processes, including stone-, acid- and enzyme washing, according to the company. The weight and finish of the nonwovens can be customized to specific needs and are available in 60-inch widths; they also can be pre-slit to specified sizes. Both styles are available in white and charcoal, and are manufactured in the United States.
