TALA's Holiday Tradition

About 140 guests arrived on buses at this year’s Textile Association of Los Angeles annual holiday party, courtesy of Los Angeles City Councilmen Ed Reyes and Jose Huizar. TALA party chairperson Fran Sude enlisted the council members’ help picking up the children from local after-school programs, including the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club, the Chinatown Service Center, the Salvation Army Red Shield Community Center and two districts of the Salesian Boys and Girls Club.

This year, the party, held on Dec. 17, moved to the California Market Center Fashion Theater, where the children were treated to snacks, gifts and a visit from Santa (a.k.a. TALA member Michael Goldman).

This was TALA’s 62nd annual holiday party for local children. The party is funded by donations from TALA members and others in the industry. —Alison A. Nieder
