Satellite Radio Available for Retailers

Gardena, Calif.–based Antex Electronics has introduced what it calls the first satellite radio receiver for the commercial music market.

The company recently debuted the XM-100 receiver, aimed at retailers, shopping centers, hotels and others looking for cost-effective, professionally programmed audio entertainment via XM Satellite Radio, which offers 150 stations of commercial-free music and other programs.

The unit is roughly 10 by 6 inches. Users need to subscribe to XM to acquire access to channels. For more information, visit www.antex.com or www.xmradio.com. —Robert McAllister
