French luxury department store Printemps will soon have an Italian owner. The Paris-based corporation PPR, owner of luxury firm Gucci, announced it would sell its 17-store Printemps chain to the chairman of Italian department store La Rinascente.Maurizio Borletti will purchase Printemps for 1.1 billion euros, or about $1.4 billion.
