Fashion designer Oleg Cassini died in Long Island, N.Y., on March 17 of undisclosed causes at the age of 92. Cassini helped define Jacqueline Kennedy’s iconic style during her White House years, but the designer had already achieved celebrity status in Hollywood. He was married to actress Gene Tierney and engaged to actress Grace Kelly, who broke off the engagement to marry Prince Ranier of Monaco. An early advocate of licensing, Cassini’s name was featured on more than 40 fashion products. At the height of his career, Cassini’s business was reported to be worth $400 million.
