Juicy's Baby Deal

Los Angeles–based Juicy Couture struck an agreement with Tawil Associates for a collection of Juicy Couture apparel for newborns, infants and layette sizes 0–24 months. The collection, which will launch in October, is expected to bow at department and specialty stores by June 2007. The news came shortly before the company announced a recall of about 2,800 pieces of the label’s children’s jewelry because they contain high levels of lead. The recalled jewelry includes bracelets and necklaces, which were sold in department stores between September 2005 and April 2006. Juicy is a division of New York–based Liz Claiborne.
